Dane Sanders Post - Las Vegas Photographer

I came across Dane Sander's video link of him photographing some of his clients and him with his family.
It really hit me again as to why we choose photography as a profession. We freeze time and images that you look back on after a number of years, brings you back to that exact second when the kids were little, or when you and your spouse were first married, or even a very memorable moment on your vacation.
It can even take you back, as in Dane's case, to a moment when you and a loved one that is no longer here, it will take you back to that precise second when you were with this person and all was good in the world.

Las Vegas Photographer- Women's Expo

Las Vegas Photographer- Doggie Portraits

Ok, so I just wanted to say how much fun I had with Kelli, Sy and Anuk on their holiday shoot. I am really loving my shoots that involve dogs and think that dog portraits will be my new specialty. Lately I have been getting them to do exactly what I want just by telling them. Can you believe it??!!

Well see for yourself....

For this shot I just asked Anuk to give his mommy a kiss on the cheek, and can you believe she just did it? Good dog.

Kelli was just sitting there way too posed so I asked Anuk to just give her a little nudge so she would loosen up and have a seat on the ground....what a great dog!

Then I said "Anuk, while mom and dad are looking into the camera, I just want you to look off in the distance, just kind of turn to the side and don't look at me" what a great dog.

Before this shot I thought it would be really funny to tell Anuk I wanted her to try and trip Sy with her leash. So I told her to do this while walking down the hill because it would look much better from this angle. Amazing dog.

After all of her hard work, I told Anuk that it was time for her to just relax and take in the fresh mountain air. She seemed really happy that she did such a good job and I know that she had made her parents proud. Kelli was so pleased that she came in tonight to purchase a ton of custom holiday cards with her loving hubby and highly intelligent dog to give out to their friends, family and collegues and probably Anuk's vet. I'm sure the vet will love to see Anuk in action & see the results from a job well done.

Las Vegas senior photography - Allyson's session

I had such a great time photographing Allyson again. I actually photographed her when she was 14 years old and I can't believe how much she has changed. My hubby and I went to a friends party Halloween night. We stopped to see my son and his friend on the way to check out their costumes. My hubby and I went as Wolverine and Octomom. He even made his own claws. Thank you to my 2 friends, whos daughters graciously entrusted me with their little dolls. Check it out!

No posts for a few days- new flooring

I know I haven't posted in the last few days. It is a little bit of a mess in our house at the moment. We are getting new tile floors...out with the very light colored pergo & ugly green carpet (which we will still have to live with upstairs for a while). It will be so nice to have tile since we have 2 crazy dogs and 2 cats. You can see out dog Angel in the one photo with her bat ears sticking out. She's not too crazy about not being outside during this remodel.

Our other living room is just piled with stuff. We have guests coming tonight to stay with us but they have already been informed that they will not have 3 star accomodations at this time.

I feel like we should put up a sign just for them saying "Please excuse our dust"

Las Vegas Photographer - Male model shoot

Here are a few images from our male model shoot from a few weeks ago. Our local Chicks Who Click group went up to Mt. Charleston to take a little eye candy workshop...I mean to learn how to shoot better in mid day sun. Seriously, these guys were great and very professional. We had a chance to experiment with reflectors and off camera lighting. It was a blast.
